A major major mistake. How in the world did they miss this...

At the beginning of the movie within the first fifteen minutes, A VW Beetle driver (Kevin Connolly character) breaks down on the way to his first day on the job. Now somebody explain to me how an air cooled engine can have steam coming out of it. Anybody? LOL. An automotive enthusiast such as myself cringes when he sees stuff like that. Same thing when I saw a mid 70s Chevy Blazer driving in Washington, DC. on the same day as the 1963 'I Have a Dream' speech by MLK in The Butler. Come on, folks. You think car guys won't notice this stuff? I mean they sold a gazillion of the darn things. I can see missing a small detail on cars and car culture but jeez...Aye...

VW up to their tricks back in the day as well.

It's that man again!!

Sure it was not smoke? If the fan belt on an old VW Beetle broke the car got really hot in a hurry.

Hadn't thought of that. I was thinking of a liquid coolant.

Oh my gosh we can't watch the rest of movie now!!! You ruined it for me !!!

Same here! a SPOILER alert should have been posted. HBO is showing it again tonight at 8pm (Friday June 10,2016), but now what? The film is ruined by that "major, major mistake." How in the world did they missed that?

Goofs in movies don't bother me as much as people pointing them out! I mean...who cares?
99.9% of the goofs are meaningless, obscure trifles that people wouldn't notice anyway.
As long as a civil war movie doesn't have a plane flying overhead in a scene, who gives a damn!
