Seriously, I couldn't understand half this movie. Why didn't they just do some extra takes where the lead guy enunciated. Still unsure what the hell that lady was talking about in the end. Something about a farmer that owes money to the king and sells his daughters or whatever.
Also, why was the music so much louder than the dialogue that was already very tough to understand? Maybe this was the audio and sound guy's first movie or w/e
I had no problem understanding any of the dialogue to be honest with you. Were you watching a bootleg or trying to do 2 things at once or something?
Some of the accents were a bit hammy but that's just because all of the main Romanian parts were played by Brits as far as I could tell. Goss didn't bother with an accent at all and played the whole thing with his nice-middle-class-boy London/south-east accent.
The girl was Bathesda and she was explaining (in story book terms) that she was the little girl taken from her parents and 'sold' to the filmmaker and his brother, she didn't explain what they did with her and her sister but she didn't really need to. Viktor helped her get her revenge on her abuser and then she turned the tables on him and made him aware of exactly who she is to him. ie; the girl that he almost shot after he killed her parents and therefore was the original cause of her being 'sold' in the first place.
I streamed it on Netflix last night and agree with you completely. It seemed there was a lot of music noise at the wrong times[while they were talking for instance].Anyway,I found out it wasn't just me.
