Too violent for children

I grew up with turtles and I don't have a problem with the violence in this short movie, but I don't think the audience for turtles today are adults. Especially today with the internet every kid with an IP can get this movie and I think the violence might be a bit to strong for them.

Sorry for the horrible english. I'm Swedish.

It is too violent for young children, but it isn't intended for young children. But as you say you grew up with the turtles, so people who watched the (1987–1996) animated series are well into their 20-s or 30's so they will get it..

reply

Yea violent, but look at the video games that they play & the music they listen to, that makes this short tame in a way

Still, if I had a kid I definitely would steer them away from it, but you're right, the internet is a portal to everything bad & good & they know more about safe guard filters and how to take em off than the parents do.

Sh!t you know my MF"ing name it's

True enough, but it's not intended for children, but for people in their 20s and 30s who - like you - grew up with the Turtles, and there's only so much the filmmakers can do to prevent the world's children from seeing it.

Sad story. You got a smoke?

That's exactly the problem. I too grew up with the turtles, and one of the issues I have with them now as an adult is that they haven't matured with their target audience. Children of the '80s and early '90s deserve a TMNT vision that this film successfully delivered.
Especially today with the internet every kid with an IP can get this movie and I think the violence might be a bit to strong for them.
You are nuts if you think this harmless film is an issue compared to all the pornography or footage of actual violence that are just one-click away from anyone… including children. I have to give a nod to George Carlin and say, "Fû€|< the children!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNcgTMpcgn0
