Funny irony about the actors in this movie

i dont know why but in chile lots of TV, theatre and movie actors are left wing, they appear from time to time on TV speaking againt the Right wing saying that they have no moral, they are the devil and blah blah blah

So its so funny to see them acting as members of the Right wing (pinochet side) in this movie, some of them even acting as the military that they despise so much LOL

well, an actor gotta eat right?

reply

It's called acting.

This world is a comedy to those that think, a tragedy to those that feel.

reply

Not really. The point of acting is to play someone else.

in chile lots of TV, theatre and movie actors are left wing

That's common all over the world in artistic professions.

reply

The ones who says the others are the Devil are, usually, the right wing people. Remember Longeira speaks with dead people.

And the main point is already been said. It's called ACTING. And some actors like, Alfredo Castro, portrays a really convincing 80's pinochetist chilean publisher.

Please excuse my terrible redaction, english is not my native language.

reply

Alfredo castro is pretty much the best actor in Chile, he can seriously portray anything

But still makes me wonder, why almost every actor here is left wing, maybe you become capitalist and right wing only when you hit big in hollywood or something?

reply

It's not that difficult to imagine.

If you are an actor, and you don't like the film or the cast, you wouldn't work on it. The same for any type of job, if you have the flexibility to take it or not.

reply

Never thought about that, great point.

reply

It's always ironic to see the great anti-Nazi German actor Conrad Veidt play Nazis in Hollywood films such as Casablanca.
