Why is Josie so awful?

It's kind of the point of her character. She thinks she's really nice and generally she tries to be but she keeps making selfish decisions that make sense in her head. Usually they make sense to us too, we don't agree with her but we get it like lying about leaving her key in the door.

Yes, and she's not even funny. Odd that they've managed to create so many other amazing flawed, funny and endearing characters, but had no idea what to do with 'the blonde one' other than have her as a foul-mouthed, jealous, shallow, control-freaky, lying cheat. Are we even supposed to be rooting for her re: Kingsley, a la Ross'nRachel?

I'm rarely felt such strong dislike towards a TV character. And I agree, even in the latest episodes she's referred to as 'lovely' a few times, which she really isn't. She's a horrible person.

I agree with you all. I cant stand this character either! Like one of you said, the others have a few redeeming qualities, but not her...shes an awful person. It's really misleading, at first i thought she was a sweet, innocent person, living with a bunch of rowdy, drunken friends...when it turns out, she's way more horrible than any of them. And she has no reason to act like she does. She is a loathsome character that they should either get rid of, or make her less of an a**hole...

Oh I know... I think she has to be the worst of the lot. Kingsley would be a close second, but Josie is so bad Kingsley has to tell her! That's pretty bad.

My first thought was... man... she is a WHORE! Just hop on, hop off... like a city bus!
Then I realized she's just self-absorbed and self-indulgent.
