Terribly boring

I usually like slow, independent films, and roadtrip movies are generally fine to watch. I enjoyed Little Miss Sunshine, for example. And since John Hawkes is such a great actor, I thought this film might be good.... But I was wrong. OMG was I wrong. This movie is terribly slow, and boring... It was a relief when I finished watching it, and nothing in the end made it feel better. It was just slow and melancholic.
