I found season 2 was total BS. No wonder why this show was cancelled. I think samatha characters and not letting Carrie relationship with Sebastian moved on. The writer has to blame for crappy season-2.
shareI actually thought season 2 was loads better than 1! I really enjoyed the characters (especially the introduction of Samantha) and the storylines (like the relationship between Walt and Bennet). So sad this show was canceled! Really enjoyed it!

I haven't read the TCD books, but did watch many episodes of SatC (while as well as after the series aired), and it's clear both of these acclaimed writers simply got lucky a few times with their own ideas and had been carried -- no pun intended -- the remainder of their careers by the skills of others.
As for TCD, the show... It was okay. The actors did a commendable job (with what they had), the soundtrack was good, and the directing was fine. However, the costume designs and sets were weak and the writing, especially dialog, was pathetic.

Season 2 was not what I was expecting. I am ok with that it feels real the way these kids life ends up, but the ending left me a bitter taste...
