The cat *spoiler*

What an awesome ending having the cat walk over him like that...lol.

Yes, funny. I guess the cat landed on his feet.

Not only that, but when you see the shadow of the cat, it looks much like the shadow of a bat.

Also, it's similar to the Catwoman "origin" scene in Batman Returns.

Plus, Michael Keaton falling to his death, the way he's sprawled on the pavement, and the way the camera spirals as it swoops down on him are very similar to the Joker's end in Batman.

I wonder if these were deliberate.

I guess the act of making those Batman references is what the cool kids are calling "meta". Batman and Batman Returns came to mind while watching, so it was surely deliberate.

That's good to know. Couldn't watch after that scene even though I know cats can survive high rise falls. Something about righting themselves after reaching terminal velocity at about five stories.

Yes, they reach terminal velocity plus they spread their legs out so their body acts like a parachute.

That's according to Stephen Fry on the show QI anyway.

I wasn't worried about the cat getting its feet towards the ground so much but rather about the terminal velocity factor. Your link cleared that up for me, so thanks for posting it! :)

Now I can rate the movie less worse than I was going to, because at least that part wasn't that bad ... and I also cheered at the ending ^^

I agree!!!
