This is like...

A mix between The Mighty Boosh and A League of Gentlemen, pretty funny.

I'm serious as a heart attack...

reply

I certainly agree with you on that. Its a shame its rated so low though :@

reply

without the uncomfortable darkness of the league. Another in the pantheon of English surrealist humour. Something the Americans would never make.

reply

Except for American shows Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, Wonder Showzen and Xavier: Renegade Angel which are equal to or better than the 'pantheon of english surrealist humour'.

Don't be pretentious.

I love Jinsy and was looking for shows that other people thought were similar. I saw this message and gave TaEAS,GJ! a chance.

What made you think that it is better than Jinsy? It is horrible childish and not worth watching. It is full of t!t jokes, toilet humour and penis puns. No word play, no subtlety, no intellectual sense whatsoever. I gave it my best effort but I couldn't even make it through a single show. Awful.

And no, I don't live in GB, so don't even go there.

Something the Americans would never make.
Oh yeah? Well we've got like two dozen shows about real housewives, and mob wives, and army wives, and good wives, and we've got about half a dozen different law & orders,... and we've got teen moms,......and kardashians.........and snooky.................and honey boo boo.......................and...............and...............awww...sh.it

At least we've good old American San Fernando Valley porn.

Recently its been the animated american tv shows that have impressed me on the humor front.
Shows like Archer and Rick and Morty are amazing.
Still its always worth it to keep an eye on the british humor cant say i like all of it but occasionally they produce things like jinsy making it all worth while.

reply

Reminds me a lot of the surreal Saturday morning Sid and Marty Krofft shows I grew up watching.

Love this show.

You've changed the beer into water? Oh, Christ, grow up

reply

must admit this has grown on me and i really like the 2 guys now. one thing they really need to drop is the below par chris morris stuff though, like when the weather guy comes on.

reply

The "Nightly Bye" song at the end of each episode reminds me of Mulligan and O'Hare from The Smell of Reeves and Mortimer :)

I'll say it... It's like Monty Python with better continuity and the filler bits such as the musical numbers actually aren't just filler, they're decent comedy in their own right.

I'm just four episodes into the first series and I'm astounded at the quality of the cameo performances. I hope they manage to keep each episode as fresh through series two.

Eeek!!! I'm getting dressed.

reply

Check out Snuff Box. A bit darker but just as weird.
