Just because you're paranoid...
...doesn't mean the monster is not in the woods!
Stephen Moyer kept the film interesting. Well, none of the actor were terrible. Seeing Shawn Ashmore in a tiny opening scene was cool. What truly let this film down was the awful monster.
I read the producers did not want to go CGI and opted for old school. Well, there is old school actor in a get up and there is terrible get up with an actor in it. This film had the latter. The creature outfit was laughable. Good thing we only saw it at the end but that was also the worst place for it to be. After all the build up, the drama, the rabies, the disappearances; to have the Jersey Devil look like a guy wearing a deer's head and a dirty blanket (supposed to be wings) really made me yearn for some CGI!!
Moyer played the part of a man slowly succumbing to rabies very well. Some here argue his accent was out of place and the this and the that and I can see their points. Nonetheless, he made the movie interesting past the point of it not being so.
