No good anymore
Last really good one was 2005 with REAL supermodels and super great music and remixes.
Last few years...boring, boring, boring and same hype with out real climax.
Bring Giselle,Naomi,Tyra....real stars.
I agree 100%. Last night's show was one of the worst in years. It seemed to go by so fast and it wasn't that entertaining. They've been getting progressively worse year after year. I miss the ones with Heidi, Tyra, etc.
I'm a gay male and I watch mainly for the theatricality of the shows. In fact, I'm the only one out of all my friends (gay and straight) who actually look forward to the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show every year.
This year's show was a big let down. I don't even remember most of it.
For me best opening number has been in Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2003.
The music was unbelievable Good, also Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2005.
I also look the show mainly for the theatricality and entertainment value.
I felt they were going downhill recently but 2011 was the best I've seen in many years! It was way more sincere; that's exactly what a 'character-driven' approach can do. Adrianna and Alessandra seemed to lead the charge of hitting genuine and needed emotional notes that grounded the show in reality. Otherwise the overblown fantasy would've just gotten too carried away. I love the subtleties that were in it that gave such a true depiction of WHAT'S UP!
(And for perhaps the first-time ever I easily tolerated Adam Levine — I mean that's gotta count for something!)
Plus, the Lingerie Super-Heroes were awesome! ...wish they could do those every year.
