2005 was the last great show

I love VS Shows and I tune in every year don't get me wrong but it's becoming less focused on supermodels and fashion and more on the the models persona's, blowing air kisses and pointing to the audience. The use of live performances is getting overdone, one or two was enough this year they had more performances than a music awards show. Lastly enough with the backstage and audience flashes, I want to see the outfits and the walks and the beautiful models. In regards to the models, promising newcomers to the show such as Maryna Linchuk weren't even highlighted and their pushing three models that look almost identical blond triplets instead, we need variety like before but I have to say the new girl they brought in who had the snippet had one of the greatest walks since Gisele.

Sadly I don't think they are going to return to the simplicity of those shows; they keep trying to outdo the previous year and make it more TV/music-oriented rather than a regular fashion show.

I do vaguely sympathesize with the apparent need to try to add more theatricality every year, although I don't necessarily agree with it.

I'm ok with the music, as long as there's also models and fashion. Audience shots, OK to an extent. Some backstage stuff is cute, some is a 'miss'...OK.

But what really drives me nuts, year after year, is the attempt to create the illusion of tension by cutting to the stage management and direction. Enough already. I feel like they're trying to give me the sense that, if this crew can get an experienced supermodel onto a stage at the right time, in the right underwear, with one or two shoes falling off or whatever, they should be hired to replacement the NASA management team.
