This movie was groan-inducing! *spoilers*

It's bad enough when the characters in the movie are unlikable and have zero chemistry with one another. It's worse when the movie is so predictable it's groan inducing:

1. Dude was taking pills in the bathroom stall, I said, "How much do you want to bet this dude is going to be the horror movie stock character who is the selfish jerk who doesn't help other characters in need?"
2. They were yelling at the dude to slow down, I said, "How much do you want to bet he'll cause an accident?"
3. When they accident happened, I said, "How much do you wanna bet none of them will be seriously hurt?"
4. When they got out of the RV, I said, "How much do you want to bet they won't have cell phone service?"
5. They found an abandoned motel, I said, "How much do you want to be they won't make any effort to find a working phone or look for any way to contact the authorities but instead they'll start making out, getting drunk, and start talking about their feelings?"
6. The chick sees a little girl on a swing, I said, "Oh, please tell me this isn't another one of those lame ghost children horror movies. I know the movie cover and opening scene pretty much said it would be but I was hoping that 1% chance it wouldn't be would come true."
7. When the drunk driver woke up and started telling the story, he did it in such a lame way I couldn't help repeatedly rolling my eyes. But I said to myself, "At least it isn't one of those movies that uses newspaper clippings to tell the back story."

When the selfish druggie overdosed I said, "Finally!" But then they started talking about their feelings again and I groaned and started fast-forwarding. I only stopped fast forwarding a few times before I came to the end. I saw the chick leave the brother tied and then saw her commit suicide and I said, "Stupid movie." You just can't get into a movie with unlikable characters and an overall predictable and stupid story.

It was a good idea, but a horrible movie. What bothered me the most is how those kids just kept hanging out at this abandoned hotel. Sometimes alone, sometimes they'd run into each other, and then start hanging out some more. No one seemed to bother mentioning the ghosts to each other, or the fact that the boyfriend is shooting up massive amounts of drugs in the bathroom 10 feet away. It would take me two minutes of being in that place, especially after seeing death and ghosts, to say "oh hell no" and run (not walk) away. Next town in 30 miles? All cars are broken down? That's fine. I'm still leaving.

I could only stomach the first 20 minutes but it looks like I didn't miss it on much by turning it off lol
