Avoid this straight to DVD film

This is like all time travel films except all of the action has been removed. It borrows from buterfly Effect (the mother sad and depressed) and Looper (ending) but has nothing but talk for an hour and 25 minutes, just a five minute confrontation.

It is mostly the little guy talking about solving an equation that his father used to travel to 1946 to meet einstein. Apparently, building a time travel machine is simple, you just need an equation to land at the right place and time.

If the machine is already built and sitting in a basement where your father left it, you only have to figure out how to program it and make it go where you want.

Concur. Very tedious movie indeed, way too much dialogue and frankly extremely boring characters. Haven't even been able to make it to the end.

I agree OP.

So much talk and so little pay off. Felt like a complete waste of 90 minutes.

No, its definitely not like all other time travel movies! It would seem that the last contributor was looking for a movie with heaps of special effects, which this one didn't have, and mechanical dialogue, which this also didn't have.

This movie explored relationships, and the effect that time-travel and preoccupation with business could have. It explored varied and changing human emotions. It was less of a time travel movie, more of a character-study. There was sufficient "scientific jargon" to support the story's premise, but not excessive. It certainly didn't indicate that building a time-machine would be easy, (WARNING SPOILERS)given that the father had developed it, the grandfather couldn't follow the maths sufficiently to do so, and the genius son took, I think it was, a year to redevelop and finish what his father had done.

I watched the movie twice, the second time with my wife who is definitely not a sci-fi fan. She thoroughly enjoyed it.
