this is smart, fast, and relevant!

what a pleasure this show has been so far (ep 100 and 101)! i have a feeling all the folks who have have been grumbling up a storm about how unfunny it is and how the days of great Canadian comedy have passed us by just have a raging case of the i-don't-get-its. seriously, the breakneck speed of these comedy maniacs is something to behold, as is their smart absurdity. they are working in the NOW, and if that is too real for you, then don't be shy about re-watching your sctv dvds. picnicface is the funniest show i've seen in a long, long time, and i know i'm not the only one who thinks this.

I am 80 years old, and I can also agree with this young woman's attitude against the comedy of yesterday. I used to think that Wayne and Schuster should be our legacy, but I'm rapidly learning about the nature of the Picnicface organiztion. They are all from Canada, and they are not foreigners. They have a unique genome, each one can't be replicated, despite numerous attempts at pairing other similar canadians.

Did you know that their comedy was often performed live in a bar? THey have experience doing this cmoedy in a location where other people, if inclined, can tell them to their face 'I'm not pleased by your comedy ventures!"

This is bravery. Now on tv people can attack from afar, and so now they do. Try going into a bar where picnicface is holding a comedy match, and you'll find yourself laughing. I'm headed to Halifax now, with $300 in my pocket. I think canadian money is attractive and colorful, with many interesting figures depicted on the notes.

There is WIlfred Laurier, and RObert Borden. You can find Queen Elizabeth II on the Twenty DOllar Note.

I have been a huge fan on Youtube for a few years (but not a STALKER -- so relax, Mark...) but when I heard they were doing a series, I was skeptical (since some time has passed, and shows like Tim+Eric etc. have really raised the bar for off-the-wall sketchcom).

I enjoyed the first few episodes, but WOW the "storybook" episode really showed them at their best, it reminded me of SCTV or Kids In The Hall at their peak. The meta stuff and the self-awareness (who needs a 4th wall!?) was brilliant, as were the remaining episodes. And the final (10th) episode was a modification of their ingeniousness "fan mail from the future" video they did a few years ago.

Sweet Canadian comedy, hope more* eps are coming... in the FUTURE...

* in the meantime, I guess I just have to activatee my Premium Membership and enjoy all the Bonus Footage, eh? ;)
