Anyone here old enough to remember the 70s?

I would just like to ask one thing. What the hell were you thinking with that fashion?

Well, sigh, ... the sixties were finished, "man-made fibres" were "the thing", and ... it got worse, we morphed into the '80s big hair and shoulder pads.

The long-winged-out shirt collars were a pain in the ass. The material was a sauna in the summer and a freezer in the winter. Not to mention everything melted into skin when around lit cigarettes and bonfires.

My only fashion regret of the age was "Susie Cream Cheese Jeans" I wanted a pair SO BAD, but we couldn't afford them. I was too embarrassed to wear the un-cool jeans, so that is when I started wearing dresses.

Shirt dresses, there's the silver lining in the '70s fashion cloud. Still love me a good shirt dress.

Because I "came of age" in the '70s, I have had a life-long hate for synthetic fibers and stripes.
