Since I saw/heard him speaking with Robert Osborne last night...

...his accent doesn't bother me so much. Had previous installments been preceded by he and Osborne discussing the upcoming episode? I always caught the ones I saw midway and his accent did cause me to change the channel. He seems like a nice man. I had something troubling on my mind at the time and what I heard/saw was interesting enough to distract me, and I was grateful for that.

I have grown to really enjoy this series...his accent REALLY bugged me the first episode or two, but I find he show so interesting that I have found I can deal with his narration. His love for film really comes across, and while there are negatives about the show, they're minor to me

I felt the same way: was put off at first and got used to him. I'm enjoying the series more and more. A lot of it is over my head but there are nuggets of things I'm learning. Certainly he touches on more diverse interesting films and makers than you usually come across. I know that others have said he left some great ones out but I, in my ignorance, am grateful for this series.
