Please redo with audible narration

Awesome content, but I got so frustrated with the zero pulse narration that fades to inaudible every single sentence. How can you know so much about film making history and not understand how important it is for the audience to actually be able to hear every single word being narrated. Fix it!! It's scandalous to document such an important story and not have the humility to acknowledge you are not able to deliver good narration. Frustrated

Agreed. I started to watch episode one and gave up at the six minute mark, solely because of the awful narration. The upwards inflection of the Oirish accent on the end of every single sentence is incredibly distracting too.

What a real shame.

YES! its horrible. Especially the parts where he is, for instance, talking about a box, then they show the box, and he says: "here's the box." and im like, yes, i can see the box, its on my tv, why are you telling me this?

And also of course, the monotone, boring, irish voice. Jezus. Next time I'm annoyed by someone I'll just watch an episode of this series, and I'll realize that nothing is as annoying as this voice.

You could make out every tortured syllable, extended vowel and slalom like inflection as he rewrote history to fit his thesis like a smug teenager who hasn't bothered to revise for his exams because he thinks he knows it all. An inaudible soundtrack would have been infinitely preferable.

I, for one, was entranced by Cousins' gently lapping accompaniment. I don't remember what he said so much as the mood and feel he imparted and gave the series. I was held totally. Count me in as a fan of his style of narration.

That's all, folks!

If you slow down the audio it's hilarious to listen to him. If you speed it up by just a tiny bit he actually sounds less boring.

I completely agree, I love the subject matter but his narration makes it so hard to pay attention for more than a few minutes at a time. I've also found this series is great for helping induce a nap.
