Yes...she was very proud of the fact that she was able to fight him and prevent him from his intention to sexually assault her. By her comment, I'm guessing she meant that once she fought him, he stopped. Also, the mother then sent her to live away from the father.

I watched it on showtime, (that's a cable television network), went to work, came back, and posted on a discussion board.
