The Kids

Just watched this movie and I'm still not understanding the oldest daughter. Was she possessed or just bitchy? A couple times there I really thought she was the problem behind everything going (spiritually) on but the fact the Dad decided to live in the Amityville house, knowing what had happened in it and the rumors, seems a little strange -- no matter what a great deal they got.

And the kid with the camera has incredible evidence that Mom and Dad don't want to look at -- That is incredibly strange to me. I felt really sorry for him, not just because he's being ignored, his evidence pushed aside, but because he's the one really trying to understand what is going on and no one cares. *spoiler* He should not have met his end so badly ...

And finally the little girl. What happened to her? Did she get absorbed into the house? I saw the reports of the others and no one ever mentioned her. Was she reported as a missing child and I just missed that part?

"Just look at the flowers, Lizzie."

Spoiler warning.

I think the house drove the father crazy which happened mostly after his old military buddy died. The older daughter was a just a rebellious teenager. The younger daughter was absorbed by the house because the boy ghost john Matthew wanted her to stay. That's just what I got out of it anyway.

The dad lost his marbles just like in the original movie. The older daughter was just a rebellious teen The younger one stayed in the house because the ghost kid wanted her to stay forever. This movie sucked muchly.
