Would of been a hit in the early 80's

I actually liked this movie....I actually cared for a few characters, however cliche they might be. I also thought they did a good job messing with who the final girl might be....I loved the punk/goth couple, the janitor and the really cute token gay guy. The kills were bloody and they mostly show them without cutting away. I feel like its an homage versus a retread. Some acting is questionable and the low budget is apparent, but thats all part of its charm.
