The Gambler: Leaving Las Vegas Wannabe

This movie should have been called "The Idiot". I could have trained a deaf, dumb and blind monkey stoned on heroin to "gamble" like Marky Mark did. No acting, no card skills...just mindless wagering. It was funny when he asked for people to "stake him" what a joke. As someone who has played thousands of hands of Blackjack and worked as a dealer I find the movie and Marky Mark appalling.

He does appear to know blackjack basic strategy.
Even correctly stood on 12 v 4.

The doubling on hard 18 and catching 3 is from the original 1974 film. He knows it is wrong -- so wrong they have to call it out to a pit boss -- but he wants to believe in magic.
