I just watched The Christmas Pageant. The story is pretty cheesy. Melissa Gilbert looks pretty strange. I have always liked her as an actress (still do), but unfortunately the "alterations" she has had done to her face do not compliment her in the slightest. Her entire face looks stretched and her mouth is abnormally large. She looks extremely plastic which is unfortunate because it detracts from her performance. She probably would have been able to bring this made for TV movie up a couple of levels just with her presence, but I (personally) could not stop staring at her face.

She had her nose fixed years ago and seems like she's done some touch up since. But, I actually thought she looked pretty in this. Go look at Dyan Cannon. Now she's scary. Melissa isn't even close to that mess of a face.

I don't see her old face at all anymore. Her cheeks are too sunken in and her lips are too filled in. When they mess with the lips, it can ruin the whole face.

That aside, this movie was just plain lame. Very predictable, which is putting it lightly.

Her bio is very readable......

i agree, i've never seen this actress in anything before but her face did distract me. as for the film, forgettable

she looked fine but it was disturbing she was supposed to be a 'bad person' for just wanting to put on a professional show & everyone else obstructed & acted like a child with little sad poutey faces.

also: that dude: creepy. when he sneaked up on her & said, 'are you lost?' thought he was about to attack her or something!
