I think Ellen Page is a capable actress, but I'm not sure about her for this film. Although, the screenwriter (Ben Ripley) may have changed some of the characters and character dynamics in the reboot and she may be perfect for some new or retooled role.

I think and hope that the only thing good to come out of this hot mess would be a special edition of the original.
shareMAYBE the writers figured out how to make this tired old idea fresh and cohesive? The original and remakes have always relied upon the star-power of the cast and not the strength of the story. I'm a fan of Page and James Norton -- splendid British actor who also happens to be incredibly fine (I hope they don't make him adopt an American accent).
