I get it, female gangster movies are appalling but...
This movie has some neat little tricks-in the VERY first scene when LuLu comes out of the bathroom, you see that it's Shae in the reflection of the round mirror. If you watch the movie knowing that LuLu represents Shae's rage for things she's buried deep within (that LuLu lies and says never happened) then you can appreciate the movie for what it's attempting to say. Yes,it's violent and horrible but its easy to say "if a guy killed a bunch of girls, this movie would be vilified. Unfortunately men haven't been violated by women generally/historically speaking-it's been the opposite. For instance, when a man whistles and yells things on the street to get a woman's attention, again generally speaking-it's embarrassing and intimidating. We carry that around forever, so yes-this movie says "what if" in a very extreme and violent way. Not condoning it, I'm just saying it can be appreciated if viewed for what it is.
