movie doesn't make sense and has a very disappointing ending

the dumbest thing about this movie is why wouldn't a girl who stole cast from an old woman just give it back to her if she ended up feeling bad for stealing it from her? why would she instead of giving it back or part of it back become her friend?

and then the part that really didn't make sense is after the old woman got upset after taking care of the girl's dog(which they also never explained, because what made the woman so upset she didnt' want to be friends with the girl anymore?)and she didn't want to be friends with the girl anymore the girl was desperate to remain friends with her and even bought a plane ticket for the old woman and did everything she could to get her to go with her. uh what? and she didn't feel bad about taking her money or spending it because if she did either one of those things then why didn't she show it at all? no once did she have a look of guilt over taking the woman's money. all of these things made me so irritated while watching this movie.

I too question why she was so insistent to pursue a relationship with Sadie. It was entirely forced from Jane's side. I don't buy the guilt theory because she could have just given the money back, and Sadie didn't really need the money anyway. I don't think thats really answered in the film although sometimes I wondered if she was doing this as a means to be left something in Sadie's will.

The reason why I think Sadie freaked out when she returned the dog is because as soon as the dog went missing, Sadie was under a huge amount of stress. What if she had actually lost the dog? How could she tell Jane, and how would she react (badly probably due to her attachment to the dog). Worried about what kind of drama this would bring to her seemingly peaceful life as well realising how suspicious the foundations of their relationship were, acted as a wake up call and she decided to end the relationship. She had to be stern because she knew how persistent Jane was.

I believe Sadie eventually accepts her, because at her age there is not much excitement in her life. Yes she could shut her out and continue living her life in solitude with no real friends OR she could visit places she has always wanted to see and have a bit of excitement left in her life even if she knows deep down there is something off about the whole thing.
