her reactions to every little thing were so over the top. that ridiculous terrified look she made over and over wouldve fit better in a silent movie. i know part of it was due to some piss poor editing and pacing, but half way through the movie i was embarrassed for her.
shareTo me, her acting was OK. It was kind of like "deer caught in the headlights" style. i think in order for the ending to work, she had to play the rest of the movie much more meekly... Like, not looking people in the eyes or changing subjects to not deal with her reality.
Anyways, she's too old for this. I think in the movie one guy said she was 17!? I never saw the first so I assumed she was the mom. Lol.
She reminded me of Garth from Wayne's world...weirdly type lipped and awkward throughout. Just awful!

I didn't think she was that bad, or rather she was one of the better ones in THIS film. You want to see bad? Watch anything with Jaden Smith in it...

shareBad my tuchoise. This young lady is clearly an exceptional talent. Why she is being lumped in with all the mediocre horror queens out there has a plethora of possibilities. To label her performance bad, to me, smacks of an eight year old boy spitting out a lamb chop while demanding his chicken nuggets. Her reactions to 'just about everything' is melodrama with a touch of melodrama, and that seems to irratate many viewers. If you got a taste of what she's continuously being served up I know most of the critics would be "West Side Story", keep it Kool boy, realll cool. Ashley will be around for a while. I'd bet the bank on her in a second.
