Really interesting photo - not in the movie...why?

Saw this photo a few weeks back and saw it again on this link

It shows Nell bent backwards with bloody nightgown on and a lot of people in the background. Where would this take place? I was waiting for this to show up in the movie (maybe walking thru N.O. or Marti Gras)... Anyone know the story behind this pic?

I think its ultimatley just a publicity photo. I saw this photo also and its more unsettling than the movie itself, which sucked donkey muffins.
