theatre to film

I was fortunate enough to see the theatre interpretation of the product and I will be first in line to catch the film transfer.
Plummer was nothing short of brilliant and it was an honor to be an observer of a memorable theatre experience.
As film is not theatre (and visa-versa), the material may not transfer with the same intimacy as a live performance (actor reacting and adapting to a live audience response) and the timing may be less precise, but Plummer is a remarkable film actor as well and whatever flaws present themselves in the final entity, it will be a rare opportunity to both preserve a Tony Award winning show, as well as a special chance for those unable to see quality theatre to do so locally.
I only lament the lost theatre performances that were never recorded and are lost to all but those who attended the live production!
