Wildenstein and art. B$ in the extreme.


With a history of shady dealings and questionable acquisitions the Wildensteins seem to know more about the art of the scam than anything else. I wish vile old empires like theirs would wash away down the sewer like so much debris.

Isn't this the second time they have rejected a painting on this show that had rock solid evidence connecting it to the painter? Both times were basically about not wanting to lose face by changing their option.

They seem to be on an arrogant power trip, with little regard for whether a painting has been authenticated. Unfortunately, for political and financial reasons, they can't simply be told to sod off.
