classic mentor/disciple syndrome
I'm really disgusted by the way this movie was directed.... it first starts out like a comedy, and all the way towards the end the girls are laughing inappropriately, acting moronic and cliche. it's offensive! Unrealistic. Horrific. Coulda been a great movie.
And obviously BETH was a sociopath. And sandra was the disciple, weak and formed an unhealthy bond with her sister. Its the only real part of the film. When people get together in pairs, or groups, its much easier to committ crimes of the worst kind. Scares me actually. Its the mob mentality... and this movie reflects whats going on in todays youth. We are breeding sociopaths, narcissists, money hungry but educated intelligent and internet using kids. All about money, technology, and obsession with PERFECT?? perfect mothers? i could go on and on... theres ALOT of help out there for those who are willing to get it. Real love is sticking together and giving your loved ones an ultimatum if they are unwilling to comply leave and BUILD YOUR OWN LIFE if you can't help someone who is self destructive. these girls had more than kids in third world countries ever will, yet they complained that they had it bad. There are people who are healthy survivors who got through their abusive home life and childhood and they made something of themself its called taking control and taking responsibility for your actions. people in worse cases than this movie showed. These girls were almost 18 years old they knew right from wrong. And just because they were pretty white girls with a fancy lawyer and played the victims, they got a light sentence. no wonder the world is screwed up...
