When the subtitles were up? It sounded like some pseudo-pig Latin or something. I have cousins who are twins and they used to do something similar when they didn't want anyone to understand them...

shareIf you look at the Trivia on this page for this movie, it mentions that the actresses had to speak in Dutch for this movie. I think the aunt (who they lived with after killing the mother) understood Dutch too. Maybe they;re of Dutch descent, who knows. But when they spoke in Dutch to each other regarding the laptop when the police are searching their basement, the look on the Aunt's face gave me the idea she could understand and was shocked.
They did also make up a language but it seems that they spoke Dutch several times in the movie. The girls are not native Dutch speakers so perhaps that's why it doesn't sound authentic to someone who is a Dutch speaker.
I personally doubt the aunt really knew what they were saying. Once you're in a room with the police investigating you and your sister and you two start speaking in a language (about which most people have no idea), it's obvious some suspicions will rise up.
