How is it plausible that 20-something Swedes do not speak English?
On a related note, I was almost hopeful when the film opened with some random Swedish lines. I thought for a second that I'd entered the wrong film and wouldn't have to watch this painful wreck after all (the trailers looked awful, but the film was even worse).
Unless you're being paid to see the film or forced against your will, why did you even go and see it if you didn't like the trailer? You can only blame yourself.
As for your nitpick, that is odd. I was always under the impression that Swedes were taught English at a very young age and were mostly fluent by their adult years.

shareYeah that was kind of weird to me too, but with most cheesy films I just rolled with it. My friends said they were alone so they were probably more comfortable just speaking their native tongue and/or the directors thought a thick accent would take away from the fact that you should be concentrating on the scenery and not the characters.

Er, they were two Swedes alone, speaking to each other in their native tongue. Nothing weird about it whatsoever. Two Swedes wouldn't speak to each other in English in that situation.
shareI had an unrelated nitpick, and this will have spoilers. So as it turns out the Police chief was the were wolf. So that means one of 2 things. Either he had been a werewolf for some time, but why in that case had the killings only just started. Or he was turned more recently ( within 2-3 months if you go by when the killings first started happening ) , in which case it must mean another werewolf would have had to been in the area to have infected him. But it seems neither of them in the film however.
I also questioned how the 2 mained characters seem to willingly embraced and accepted they were going to kill lots of children at the end , when they both had been anti werewolf before that. But the shallow obnoxious friend appeared to be desperate to get rid of the curse ( meaning it doesnt affect your psych )
It was a small town and through out the film it he (the officer) tells his younger, underling not to press into the suspicious activities around town because they had always turned their heads.
As for the two main characters, they knew there would be no cure and her family would hunt them down. So they will turn no matter what and they have no other chance then to embrace that side. No matter what they would change somewhere at some time. Why not do it at a buffet?
