Who came up with the J-Law nickname? And was it ironic? Is it supposed to make her seem badass or "street"? Sorry, its just every time I read it, I can't help but think of a hardcore female gangsta rapper. "J-Law putting the smack down 'cuz I keep it real. Ugh!" lol Not knocking her or anything, I think she's a great actress and hot...I'm just saying. More a knock on celeb worship/pop culture these days I guess, that we feel the need to assign them these whack nick-names to humanize them or whatever.

Anyone else feel that way or do I just still have an overactive imagination carried over from my childhood? Any other celebs with "gangsta" nicknames I should watch out for?
