I...kind of liked it! (spoilers)

I decided to give this a shot based on some recommendations and I really dug it. I love the colors and moody lights of the cinematography (reminds me a bit of It Follows), and the movie does a nice job creating an ominous atmosphere. Even the rain falling outside in innocent sheets starts feeling creepy and oppressive.

It gets a tedious towards the middle because of the predictable slasher tropes, but the ending was a nice touch (science nerds do win in the end).

I'm not familiar with the young actress Haley Bennett but she appears to be a rising star lately (Magnificent Seven and Girl on the Train). She did a good job here. And I was surprised to find out the bad girl was Ashley Greene. I thought her character was supposed to be a ghost or some cursed, undead wanderer at first, and I kept thinking "she's really good looking for a pale ghost/zombie."
