No way that Caprice motor was stock!


That engine had a bass-heavy, intimidating hum to it. I think a big-block(6 liters or more) Detroit mill was used, either solely for the sound recording or it was installed in the vehicle.

Spoke to post production sound mixer, he assured it was the stock engine sound as a starting point but... "Of course I enhanced the sound to give it a personality"

I think it was a 350 cubic inch V8 with 4 barrel carburetor.
