Occam's razor

It doesn't state that "the the things which are the likeliest are the ones most likely to occur." The anthropic principle isn't really described right either, and 128-bit encryption with a 256-bit key isn't really a thing that exists. I liked this movie overall, though, it's unusually philosophical for a slasher.

I am no authority on the matter, but can't AES 128-bit encryption be used with a 256-bit key?

128-bit encryption generally refers to encryption with a 128-bit key, so if you have a 256-bit key, you're doing 256-bit encryption.

That is is. And that's THE ONLY reason I suffered through...the classroom scenes are the best part of the movie. Interesting metaphysical/philosophical discussions no question.
The rest of the movie is very dry and slow.

reply

Exactly how I felt as well. Loved the classroom scenes, the professor was hilarious, I love the whiskey in his office scene too.

The proff was pretty cool in "Desparate Housewives' playing the psychotic/homicidal/suicidal pharmacist as well. That guy!

I liked this part of the movie as well, and actually sparked me to look up some of the real theories.

Reminded me of similar scenes in "Urban Legends" though.

I think the lecturer was in there as an antidote. Maybe even a glaring contrast to the vacuousness of the rest of the cast. He was very likeable, whereas Ashley's housemate was so annoying I wanted her killed off early.
But I think maybe that was the point of the movie. Laughing at 4channers.
Yeah, it was naff, but certainly not as horrible as the reviews here suggest. I've definitely seen worse.

reply

Ya it's the simplest explanation is most likely the correct one.
