Once everyone could tell you what a woman is...

Now they can't, not even a SCOTUS Justice who, were were told, was the first black woman on the Court. How do they know?

We were called crazy when we said men would say they were women to compete against women and win medals they couldn't win against men. We were supposedly nuts when we said rapists would say they were women to be put into women's prisons. Both have come true, so don't tell us we're conspiracy theorists.

The people in Africa now have another reason to think Americans are loons -- we can't tell the difference between a man and a woman.

And Bill Maher is right. If this is real, why does it seem to be geographic? You just don't see it much in "fly-over country," but boy, is it big on the liberal coasts!

"The people in Africa now have another reason to think Americans are loons -- we can't tell the difference between a man and a woman."

Very funny observation and proof that not everything called "progress" is necessarily good.

reply

100% correct about so-called progress. What today is often called progress is actually insanity. I often wish I could've been born about half-a-century earlier so that I could've died in time to avoid all this.

reply

I hear that!

reply

Ovaries or testicles? It's very simple. It's hilarious that 0.3% of the population with gender dysphoria have made society crazy.

Treat transgender people with respect and then forget about it.

Their anomaly is irrelevant to the other 99.7% of the population.

This is the greatest example of tail wagging the dog we've ever seen.

reply

My friend, going after a parent's children is a very bad idea, tell me that's not happening. You're out of touch if you tell me that.

reply

You'll have to explain why that's relevant to what I posted? I'm against children being given drugs and hormone blockers to change their sex. I think transgender is all hokum anyway.

reply

Well, I don't find it hilarious. The movement is causing a lot of irreversible collateral damage. Not hard to understand why a small percentage "have made society crazy".

reply

There is a larger agenda here. They want to destroy the concept of gender. This is really a unisex movement. The goal is to make everyone the same, with no gender, sex, race, ethnic, national differences. This unisex nonsense is just one part of Big Brother's agenda.

reply

The larger agenda is the annihilation of traditions, morals, values of the society.

Race is still a weapon that can be used toward that goal. (Math is racist, science is white supremacy, etc)

reply

What if your son or daughter becomes part of those 0.3%?
And if you don't like that, and "they" come for you because you didn't support it?
Maybe then it will not feel that irrelevant...

reply

I don't see that most legal jurisdictions are overriding parents on this issue.

If had a son who wanted to be a girl, I'd try and be understanding. My position on transgender is that you live however you want, wear a dress, wear pants, it's up to you. But NO GENITAL MUTILATION.

reply

What if he wanted to take hormone blockers at 14? Something that may be irreversible...
Would you allow it and pay for it?

What if you refused, and social services would be on you?

reply

No. I'm against hormone blockers for adolescents.

I'm just saying, in most places, they can't do that without the parent's consent.

reply

But we're moving towards a path where parents that do not support these decisions, they are deemed irresponsible and even criminal.

reply

I hate to say this is a fad. But it's so nonsensical and against science that this can't last.

reply

It's clear you don't have kids. Hope you are right, people do seem to have started opening their eyes.

reply

I don't have kids, just nieces and nephews and a dog. But how is anything I said not pro-kid?

reply

You seem pro-kid, not arguing.

reply

Okay, it's just the "clear you don't have kids" makes me wonder if I missed something. Not arguing either. I'm glad I'm an uncle and not a dad. Lol.

reply

Uncles don't have to worry so much, that's for sure. These little fads aren't quite as hilarious when a child is your responsibility.

reply

I do get livid at the idea that they're making children think about genital mutilation. What a repulsive society these people have created.

reply

Have you ever listened to an actual scientist, a biologist talk about the transgender issue? That was rather illuminating for me.

reply

I have a gut feeling that transgender theory is a lot like ancient astronauts. It sounds good but falls apart in a second.

If you have a link I'd be curious.

reply

I'm willing to share a link of my own but you'd probably find it more believable if you searched it out on your own from a qualified biologist of your choice because you would probably find a link from someone else bias in some way and you'd have every good reason to believe that.

I like this guy. He's a biologist from Oklahoma who also knows quite a bit about bioanthropology which is in my opinion the best background to come from for the subject.

reply

I was trying to understand your position.

I have transgender friends online. I understand the difference between biological sex and a gender role.

My problem here is that trans folks are such a tiny percent of the population. For the overwhelming majority, something like 99.7% of us, binary gender works fine. I mean even the most effeminate gay guy who dresses in drag knows he's male.

Are there transgender cats? Maybe there are. But I've never known any. The dichotomy of tomcat and female feline is very straight forward. It works with cats, why not humans?

I think some people like the guy in your video are intellectualizing this too much.

I respect trans people's choice of identity. But sex to me is defined by either ovaries or testicles.

Sorry, there are real biological women and then there are trans women. They are not the same type of woman as my mother, my sister, or the girl next door even.

Transgender people will always be a sub-category with an asterisk.

reply

I' am responding to your claim that transgenderism is "against science".

"Are there transgender cats? Maybe there are. But I've never known any. The dichotomy of tomcat and female feline is very straight forward. It works with cats, why not humans?"

That is clearly addressed in the link I shared with you. I mean . . .down to the letter, cats specifically.

"I think some people like the guy in your video are intellectualizing this too much.

Of course he is, he's a biologist explaining the nature of gender in biology, I sent you the link to a biologist because, again, you said that it was "against science"

"Sorry, there are real biological women and then there are trans women. They are not the same type of woman as my mother, my sister, or the girl next door even.

Of course they won't be, because women are unique, so are men. We come in a million unique forms.

Transgenderism isn't a theory in science, it's not a mental illness in biology. You don't have to take my word for it. In fact, please DON'T. Research it using a scientist that you respect, though I would hope that you would pick one with a degree and experience in biology and anthropology.

reply

No, the snarky guy in the video did not address the fact that biologists analyze cats and every other mammal in terms of male and female. I have never read a scientist who has said there are 50 genders among cats, dogs, cattle and mice.

The video addressed the concept of identity. You can't be a cat because you say you're a cat. You can identify with the role of a woman even if you're a biological male. And that's fine with both me and most everybody. See the difference now?

But when it comes to biology males and females can be defined by the predominate gonad. That's either ovaries or testicles. And if one is intersexed and have both, they never have both working ovaries and working testicles. Binary gender is very real.

Transgender is not a mental illness. It's a gender role choice. However, genital mutilation is indeed a mental illness. Again, most of us have no problem if a man wants to wear a dress. We have a problem with doctors who mutilate bodies and replace working organs with nonworking replicas of something else.

You keep claiming biologists regard transgender as some biological fact. No, it is a social construct and that's fine. But it's not biological reality for cats or humans.

reply

The BIOLOGIST in the video never said that there were 50 genders.

You didn't understand what this biologist was saying, at ALL, because you don't want to.

"You keep claiming biologists regard transgender as some biological fact. No, it is a social construct and that's fine. But it's not biological reality for cats or humans."

When did I claim that? When did the biologist say that? I didn't and HE didn't.

Why don't you do what I recommended and look up an actual biologist that you like and trust so that you can educate yourself rather than trying to refute the 'snarky guy in the video' because you don't want to be wrong?

reply

The "biologist" with a political agenda, not scientific facts, is claiming that binary gender, male and female, is some murky malleable concept which is all dependent on one's self identity.

You claimed he used cats to support this social construct. He did not. Biologists study all mammals, humans as well as cats, by material observable criteria. A cat is either male or female and their behavior and biology is consistent.

Show me a biologist who claims that a cat with testicles can be female? You claimed there are such biologists. Show me one.

reply

So sorry I wasted my time on you. I'll know better in the future ffs

reply

Uhuh. No reputable biologist says that a mammal with ovaries can be male and a mammal with testicles can be female. You claimed otherwise and when called to prove it, you can't. Transgender is a social construct, not a physical reality.
