Language(s)
IMDB only lists Korean spoken, Wikipedia lists Korean and Manchu. I speak neither, so I ask any Korean speakers who've seen this film to help me out. There are several instances of dialog that would indicate the Mongolian/Qing invaders are speaking their own language in this film, which is what you would expect if this film was going for a high degree of accuracy. Is Manchu actually heard in this film? Is is spoken in every scene in which the Mongolian/Qing invaders appear?
I have a strong feeling that there are indeed 2 languages spoken in this film. I only am making sure as in many films (Hollywood films) accuracy is not respected and you have 'foreign' characters speaking in, say, English with a German or Russian accent and the audience is supposed to understand that they're speaking German or Russian. (I hate that.)
The thing is, though, Manchu is a rare language in this day and age, so I'd be very impressed if they actually got the speakers to perform their lines in Manchu every time a Mongolian/Qing invader appears.
I would appreciate it if a Korean speaker who has seen this film would give an answer.
