I don't want to write a review and explain why this movie is worth your time, so I'm just going to say go watch this movie this is one of the best I've seen for a long time and I watch quite a lot.
PS: why isn't this movie more famous?!
It was just nominated for the best foreign language Oscar for Belgium. I agree excellent movie.
shareI think it deserved to win the Oscar for best foreign film. It was a raw and beautiful film that didn't shy away from difficult emotions and a difficult storyline. The music was also fantastic.
It was also creatively structured, weaving between past and present but not in a linear fashion. The two lead actors were amazing.
An all-around gorgeous film.

It's really sad that you believe this ..
The movie wasn't about politics or religion, it had some insights and points of view about them, but it showed life and reality. I wouldn't like to go into some political details, but I advise you to watch it with all your heart.
To the OP, it wasn't more famous because, 1- It's not American and 2- It's not the type the majority would pay to see, it's like Blue Valentine or Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind .. Not everyone likes or understands the real point behind it ..
