I forced myself to sit through the entire pilot episode (which you can see for free on Comedy Central's site - just google it) and I'm afraid that words can't really convey how dumb and un-funny this series really is.

The sad pathetic part is that this show desperately wants to be Family Guy, and it shows. However this show has none of the comedy, sophistication, or timing that Family Guy does - it's just one crude joke after another. Brickleberry commits the ultimate comedic crime in my book: it thinks it's a whole lot more clever/funny than it really is.

I really hope Comedy Central pulls the plug on this series sooner rather than later. It's just so un-funny, poorly written, poorly voice-acted, and a blatant rip-off of Family Guy (minus any sort of sophistication or cleverness)

Since when was Family Guy sophisticated and clever?

But I will agree with you that Brickleberry is terrible. It's a shame that Hollywood thinks being endlessly crude is funny. I could have written for this show when I was 13, and I'd have been highly successful at it. Pretty sad that adults get paid good money to write this trash these days.

I'd say the first 2-3 seasons of Family Guy were clever, to a degree.

Yeah. I tried, but lost. There's real potential here. Unfortunately, this show is like a sad Family Guy episode. I hope Comedy Central can pull this out of the crapper. But I'm not holding my breath.

Clearly based on FG: clip-based structure and crude childish jokes. And it's abysmal. It makes FG looks like the Simpsons.

Complete trash.

Family Guy has had some episodes that were plainly written on acid or by drunken hacks, but the show at least has had solid characters that have kept it afloat for however many seasons now. Not only is Brickleberry somehow less funny than Tosh's stand-up or web clip show, all of the characters suck.

My take on it is that yes, Family Guy sucks - but it sucked FIRST. Nothing's more pathetic than someone copying someone else's failure.

lets not forget who family guy copied. also why do you want it to get canceled? if you dont like it dont watch it, what harm does it do to you for it to be on the air? you like seeing people to lose their jobs? pathetic.

on the show itself, its nothing special and i doubt i will be watching anymore eps but that doesnt change what i said

Can a show really get by on mean-spiritedness alone? When is it funny when people die, exactly? When did that become funny? I'm not being overly sensitive but exactly how many people died for lack of a proper punchline in the pilot? Four? I hope it pulls up, because right now it looks like another Drawn Together.

violence has always been around in cartoons though (maybe not up to the point of the characters really dying, but torturing aint no fun either)
Im not saying that therefor you should consider this as a funny show tho....

It's just meh, it's just another clone of Family Guy especially the later seasons trying to be as crude and offensive as possible, but at least it's better than that horrible Alan Gregory which thankfully bombed in the ratings.

So it can be replaced by something watchable.

Shows get cancelled every day of the year.
That's what happens when you make a product that simply isn't good enough.

A show is not cancelled because it's bad, it's cancelled when no one is watching it.

This show can get 1/10 score, as long as some people watch it it's fine.

with a name like "dark domino", i have to wonder , is that the best person to listen to about comedy-- are you clinically depressed?...."forcing" yourself to sit through comedy and not laugh? lighten up , it IS a funny show , and with the varied humor in the show , if you didnt find ONE thing funny?? uh, ya, up your dose and find a therapist -- i watch a TON-not a factual ton-of comedy and brickleberry is funnier than most of what is out there --hence , the Actual ratings of the show and fan demand for another season--- the people have spoken.
