1. she got bit on the arm where is the bite?

2. I dont know how long it would take to turn but she could have at least got the children to the stand then then turned back or shot her self instead she leave them helpless.

The whole idea was that Hannah sacrificed herself so that her children had a chance to run. At the point where Hannah was attacked in the car, several walkers were about to overtake her - by letting them attack her, she distracted them so they didn't notice the children.
