First post - yay

I'm a little bit surprised that I'm posting first. Movies about famous horses are sort of rare. I'd have thought the horse obsessed would know of this film?

The trailer is fantastic!

I take it that not a single American knows of this movie? No one out there knows of Jappeloup? No hunter jumpers out there? Pure show jumpers? Eventers?

This movie needs a bit more marketing outside of Europe. :-)

I saw it today as part of the Rendez-Vous with French Cinema at Lincoln Center. If you are a horse person specially a Show Jumper person you will love it, and the director, Maia Hinds, and Guillaume Canet the star and author of the screenplay are all former equestrian competitors so they have the right feel. Canet did all his own riding. You'll find interviews here: http://medias.unifrance.org/medias/124/117/95612/presse/jappeloup-2013-presskit-anglais-2.pdf

Never heard of it until today, when I found it mentioned on the "Cinema Horses" poll on this site. Sounds interesting. I'm not a rider, but I did attend the 1984 Olympics 3-day event jumping and cross-country events. I'd watch this if it's subtitled in English.
