tried rewatching this the other day...

And I gotta say, it really does not hold up. Watched around 15 minutes of it and I found it really *beep* annoying and grating. The humor was just so loud and unfunny, it began to hurt my senses(a lot of the gags felt recycled from Stephen's older, better films as well). And the effects were just awful even by Chinese movie standards(seriously, did that tentacle coming out of the water need to be CGI?). I rated at a 6/10 when I initially saw it, but now it's probably a 5.
