Not sure what all the love story was about that ran through out the film between the female and the main demon hunter (Sorry if I don't know their names right off the bat, I don't care.) He goes through the entire film ignoring her advances and then at the very end, suddenly confesses to her that he loves her since the beginning. It made no sense whatsoever.

In the end, all the bad guys are forgiven and they turned into Good guys and the Buddha Guy sets off on an adventure went them. Okay. That makes perfect sense. It looks like a set up for a sequel and I hope that doesn't happen because the movie is terrible. I have no idea why I sat through it but I did and I can't have those precious hours back.

I will say that I did laugh twice.

- The scene where the main Demon Hunter comes under a spell of a beautiful girl dancing and he mimics her moves but it wasn't meant for him. The reaction by the two guards made it funny.

- The two travelers that entered the Pig Demon's lair. The guy who wasn't that handsome kept getting complimented by his female companion that he was the most gorgeous man on Earth. He doesn't like it but she brings it up every chance she gets. It was so absurd I burst out laughing when he scolded her for it.

Also, the Fish Demon is the freakiest thing ever. If I saw that in a river/Lake, I'd lose my S h i t.

Xuan Zang (the main demon hunter) is a monk, which is similar to a priest in Catholic, is not allowed to be married.

And Xuan Zang thought his love to Miss Duan is a "small love", and is lower level compared to so call "big love" (the love to the world). But finally Xuan Zang understand that there is no difference between small love and big love. If you do not have small love, how can you have the love to the whole world?

This is what Buddha (Xuan Zang 's master) try to teach him. Only after Xuan Zang understood it, can Buddha pass Xuan Zang powerful Buddhist sutra.

Please note Miss Duan is actually a avatar of Guanyin Pusa, a very powerful and mercy (and usually female) buddha.
