Let's count the funny scenes!

For me, I like the scene when Triptaka dances along with the girl with The Obedience Charm on his back. He looks so much like a sexy woman!
I also like the monkey king before he turns bad. "I meant I killed without so much as a blink and all you're concern is my dry eyes?" and "Why are you looking at me? Where else can I freaking go?" So hilarious!
The scene when the goose leg lady smacked the Triptaka's master's head and the wig went flying into the air. What's more the Triptaka held the wig immediately! So funny!
The blood guy is also so funny;"Frankly speaking, he's an idiot!"It's so hilarious!

When the guy with the huge leg injures his foot, and it turns back to its normal super small size, him screaming in pain the the goofy looking foot moving around was hilarious. On top of it the old woman in the scene yelling "why didn't you tell me before" over and over again. I was hysterical.

As a matter of face, a lot of people are saying that Mr Important is not funny. However, very few people notices the expressions of those ladies. They're so hilarious!

I only laughed at one part, sadly; Sun Wukong trying to intimidate Xuanzang whilst still in the cave. The part where he talked about killing without blinking is preceded by him recalling his story like he was a gangster in Young and Dangerous. Also Xuanzang egging him to break the pointy fruit.

stephan chow's comedy has evolved from obviously slapstick silly to almost gervais-esque, there are some clear comedy segments and then there are a lot of awkward comedy sandwiched between terrifying situations, i'm not even sure how to respond to these dark comedy and the mood whiplash situations myself.
