Anybody Able To Read His Name In The File?

Looked like John something to me......

reply

No, I watched to see if they zoomed in on his name printed in the file. I didn't watch/pause the scene though to know for sure.

reply

I couldn't make it out but another poster said it was John Smith.

reply

At least it wasn't John Doe.

reply

He never gave a real name to the FBI or cops. So he indeed went into jail as a John Smith.

I don't think he has ever said his birth name but I am only midway through season 3.

reply

Trieste Kelly Dunn said that when Siobhan and Lucas were having the conversation in his office he whispered GAAAAARY into her ear.

reply

I was about to ask the same thing. I figured since they didn't vocally reveal his name that it was probably on his file. Gonna have to be someone with HD and pause it.

reply

It only said John Smith because that is the name that he gave them when he was arrested. It is obviously not his real name and the FBI knew it.

Yes!

It's easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled.

I did not get a good look at Hood's picture. Was that arrest record from Banshee arrest or for the Diamond robbery?

reply

It looked exactly the same as the others shown before, so I'm 100% sure it's the FBI records. It's the only thing that makes sense anyway, otherwise why would Dawson leave it for him? He was already cleared of Rebecca's murder.

You are right, those must have been the file agent Philips had in his possession. I was speculating on that, and that she could turn out to be danger to Hood because these files existed at the FBI.

That basically means she either came to Banshee knowing Hood is a criminal, or she found out shortly afterward.

So she basically came to Banshee knowing exactly who hood is (a criminal posing as a sheriff).

I am not exactly sure what it adds to the plot (if anything), other than the fact that during their dialogs, it was like playing a card game when you can see the opponents cards...

I think she did some digging when she arrived in Banshee, and then at/with the FBI itself.

It said: Roger “Verbal” Kint aka Keyser Söze

I don't want to be a wet blanket or drag, but why care what his name is? More important is knowing his background, roots, military training, things like that.
