Season 4 not to same standard

Just finished season 4 of this awesome show, however, season 4 seemed rushed like a fan service, i mean satanists, really? Seemed like cinemax wanted another season, and yaitanes didn't, so they came up with some ploy out of the blue just to get 1 more season.
Show could have had a really impactful ending with s3 and the death of chayton. But no, they had to have some weird serial killer plot. Instead they should maybe have made the season about one last ride for the 4 main chars, or the hunt for job. Sugar wasnt even in the season save a few scenes, and elizha dushku was a poor substitute, cause that chick cannot act, just watch the completely ridiculous scene where she is supposed to lose it, and beat a table after the satanist takedown, it was hilarious so bad it was.

On future re-watches, i will skip s4 like it never happened.

Good points, and also for noticing that Sugar was barely part of the S4.

It seemed that S4 was such a rush writing job that after all season was filmed they noticed the absence of Sugar, so they gave Sugar all of the S4 origins stories...

On future re-watches, i will skip s4 like it never happened.

I have not re-watched S4 either, except the finale. The series finale was an ok episode, and for an average show it would have been a good finale. But for Banshee, which started with a bang, was a an instant cult classic right from the Pilot, I kind of expected a bit more from the finale and the final season.

People hype up final seasons so much that it's almost impossible to please some people. No matter what they're not going to be satisfied and it looks like the case her.

The final season was still amazing. Did it feel different? Yeah, it had a different atmosphere. There were a few changes but if I wanted the same thing I'd watch previous seasons.

S3 DID have an impact ending and to end right there? Way too many cliffhangers and things wouldn't get resolved like they did. I'm glad they went through with a final season even if some people aren't going to be happy about it and complain.

They didn't just make this season to milk the series or because they wanted to stretch it out for no reason. They actually wanted to do a fifth season and possibly more but there were budget cuts and Cinemax made them cut down the number of episodes.

I loved the final season and minus a few flaws it will always be one of the best TV series to have ever appeared.

@mrgreen.

How pretentious can one person be? You dont know me OR my taste, you have no idea what the hell constitutes a good season for me or not,so spare me your ridiculous ploy to sound like you know better!!

FACT, the season was rushed and script suffered, and was so far from what the previous 3 seasons were about,it is clear as day. If you didnt catch that, that is on you.

Good for you you liked the final season, i did NOT,and i am in my right to think that, and clearly i am not alone.

And if you actaully took the time to watch the extras on the bluray, you would see they struggled to come up with a decent story, because where could you go after all the mayhem the preceeding 3 seasons have done. So they went the more or less formulaic way, introduce a new killer, which felt cheap and not up to same writing standard of the previous 3 seasons. On top of that, they omitted Sugar, for the dumbest FBI chick in history, Eliza Dushku, who is DEFINETLY not up to Mr. Frankie Faisons caliber of acting, and the whole season suffers for it..They even said on the bluray Eliza was more or less a fan service to themselves.

You are entilted to your opinon, but for future referrence, spare me you philosophy on my thinking and taste!!

Sorry but no. The final season was a marked drop in quality. From the famous fights, writing and characters acting a bit aloof and inconsistent.
However any season is usually better than none so I'll take it ( with the exception of Dexter's which produced some of the first episodes in tv history with its final season ).

And the FBI chick had to be one of the most ridiculous characters I've ever seen.

Season 4 is definitely the weakest season. What sucks is I can see 2 good seasons in there - one season focusing on the rise and fall of the neo-Nazis (the Bunker Brother conflict was the best part of season 4 for me and I could totally see a full season with them as the main antagonists) and the hunt for Job with Proctor starting to find new business partners (what were they? Columbians? Can't remember - but an outside force). Then one final season with the Proctor's outside force coming to Banshee - the final season could be the fight for the soul of Banshee.

Banshee would have been a perfect 5 season show.

OMG you are a complete IMBECILE. Look, let me spell this out for you because you're too DUMB for simple logic. The show has been a guilty pleasure from the beginning, a farce, rediculously over the top since the very first episode. Seriously, you're gonna question satanist's now??? After all the bullchit that we've been fed throughout the first three seasons???
It's not a good show, let's admit it, but it's one of the more entertaining shows on tv
Good God, how did you make it this far in life?!
