shareWell, in terms of Action/Adventure/Drama films, I think those are pretty close matches.
If you wanted to expand into the themes of isolation and survival, films like 127 Hours, Gravity, and Life of Pi would be applicable. Among others.

I couldn't see the link between this movie and Jackson's King Kong, Perfect Storm... Twister?
The list has some good movies, don't get me wrong. It's just that All Is Lost is on its own compared to those movies.
