They should have set this movie in Smurf village. I was not interested in the human characters at all in this and kept wishing they would go back to the Smurf village so the other Smurfs could get more screen time.
shareWell, I hear they get Gargamel back to the 'correct' world... so maybe we'll see the King, Peewee/Peewit, Johan, and the Princess and keep it 'in world' for the final 3rd one, throw in Gargamel for good measure and something worse than Gargamel for a good story arc and we could have the movie we've been finally waiting for, and have Papa Smurf save the day once again the old 'fashion way', but Live action. It would be cool if they threw in Granny Smurf and Su Blu reprise her old role if she could. Maybe have Granny travel from where-ever to Smurf village to finally marry Papa Smurf along the way... and end the movie with their wedding...? Just an idea.
